It depends on your electricity usage and when you use it, your tariff and feed-in rate, your roof and shading, the system size, and whether you join a virtual power plant (VPP). We don't quote generic savings figures. Your written quote includes a site-specific estimate and lists the assumptions behind it.
Requesting a quote is free and there's no obligation to buy.
Often, yes. We'll check whether your existing inverter and switchboard are compatible. If an upgrade is needed, it's listed separately on your quote.
A VPP links many batteries so they can support the grid at busy times, usually through your energy retailer. The federal program requires the battery to be capable of joining a VPP. Some state incentives, including WA's battery rebate and the NSW VPP incentive, require you to actually join. Joining can affect how your battery is used and your electricity plan, so compare offers and read the terms.
If the sale was unsolicited (for example, we contacted you first by phone or at your door), the Australian Consumer Law gives you a 10 business day cooling-off period to cancel without penalty. During that period we won't install or accept payment. Your contract sets out your cancellation rights.
Products come with manufacturer warranties, which vary by brand and model and are listed on your quote, along with our workmanship warranty terms. You also have automatic consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, which a warranty doesn't replace.

Savings and performance: Any savings or output depend on your electricity usage, tariffs, feed-in rates, roof orientation, shading, weather, system size and, where relevant, VPP participation. We don't guarantee savings. Your written quote includes a site-specific estimate and its assumptions.
Government incentives: Incentives are set by governments, subject to eligibility, and can change or close without notice. Figures are maximums ("up to") and were checked against official sources on 12 October 2026. Total Solar is not a government body and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any government program.
Prices: Every quote is itemised, includes GST and shows eligible discounts separately. Extra costs (for example switchboard upgrades or metering) are listed on your quote.
